Check out this step-by-step guide to see how easy this amazing DIY for your bedroom is. It’s cheap, quick, and easy to do. Create your own amazing light storm today! This creative project is one of my favorite DIY ideas with fairy lights.

Supplies :

  • Polyfiber fill/ cotton
  • Paper Lanterns/ Soda Bottle
  • Glue Gun
  • Glue Sticks
  • Battery operated Fairy lights
  • Fishing Line

How to make Diy Floating Cloud Lamps?

First off gather all the supplies and assemble the paper lantern. Once you have your lantern intact, start by sticking the poly-fiber or cotton to the lantern with the help of a glue gun.

Carefully stick a handful of poly fiberfill onto the hot glue. Keep going until you cover up the whole lantern just leaving the top hole or bottom hole depending upon your choice of comfort. I chose to leave the bottom hole as it’s easier for me to change the batteries when they run out.

Likewise, If you are using a soda bottle for this project, the process is almost similar. Just insert the lights inside the bottle and secure the battery over the bottle. Keep a slight space so that you can easily change the batteries when needed.

Put the lights inside the lamp, turn them on and check for any spots left. Make sure to keep shaping like a cloud.  Keep on gluing the cotton until it looks like a cloud.

Hang it with the help of a fishing line and secure it with tape or a command hook. Since the Fishing line is almost transparent it seems like the cloud is floating in the room.
