DIY ACV Skin Toner- Secret to Crystal Clear Skin

Hello there,

Today, I have another pantry staple for your skin, The ACV Toner –  made from Apple Cider Vinegar, that might not be new for you, Thanks to the weight loss industry, it has gained huge popularity as one of the weight loss drinks, being used to heal infections and lowering blood pressure.

Apart from its medicinal properties, ACV is also a natural astringent, high in pectin, a polysaccharide found naturally in apples that play a role in improving the skin texture. Acetic Acid found in ACV is antifungal and antimicrobial; it fights skin infections and helps in fighting acne. it absorbs excess oil and reduces fine lines by restoring skin’s pH level of skin and counter skin damage.

Citric Acid in ACV has AHA  that increases skin turnover and decreases wrinkles and age spots. 

So, let’s make a batch of DIY ACV Skin Toner 

What all you need to make DIY ACV Toner;

• Raw Apple Cider Vinegar 
• Distilled Water 
• Spray Bottle
• Cotton Balls 
• Essential oils like  Tea tree oil, Lavender,  Rose  (optional)

How to make this Toner;

• Mix one part of vinegar in one part of purified water. Add 2-3 drops of essential oil (Tea Tree or Rose or Lavender ) to curb the smell of ACV. 
• Put it in a spray bottle and refrigerate. 
• Dab a cotton swab with the spray and apply it to your face.
• Once in the evening and once in the morning, swab or spray after cleansing your face. Shake the bottle before use.

Note; 

Never use ACV without diluting it with water. it may cause a burning sensation in the skin. 

Why should you add ACV Toner to your skin regime;

As I have mentioned above, ACV Toner works wonders to your skin, by restoring pH levels of the skin, AHA’s present in ACV exfoliates the skin, dissolves fatty acids and controls the oiliness that leads to acne breakouts. Antioxidants prevent free radical activation and promote smooth skin, fighting bacterial infections, acne, and eczema. It can lighten age spots, acne scars and minimizes the appearance of pores.
