DIY Coconut Sugar Scrub for Smooth Skin

Homemade scrub

                                                                                        Coconut Sugar Scrub

This Coconut Sugar Scrub is one of my favorite homemade scrubs of all time. It’s rich in fatty acids and antioxidants which makes your skin smooth and healthy. While i wanted to get the coconut exfoliating scrub by Bodyshop, Well! Who doesn’t love BodyShop?? O yes, I do 🙂 Being the green freak I am, I love it too. But, its way too expensive sometimes. So that’s when I turn to this DIY scrub. It makes you feel like you just had Spa on a Tropical Island. The subtle aroma of coconut takes me there every time.

Why should you use this ?? You may ask!!

  • This Scrub is the most amazing and simplest of any other exfoliator, hassle-free and hardly takes two mins to make.
  • This is an All in One package, Use it either on Face, lips, as a Body Scrub or as Hand and Foot Scrub. It can be made with endless variations.
  • It hydrates, boosts circulation and brightens up your dull skin leaving a subtle glow behind.
  • Plus, you can gift this to your dear friend. I am sure they will love it too.

How to make it ??

Ingredients:

  • Coconut oil
  • Granulated Sugar/ Brown sugar
  • Vit E Capsules (Optional)
  • Lemon zest (Optional)

Directions:

  • Take the coconut oil in solid form, whisk it a little to make it smooth.
  • Add it to a part of Granulated sugar/ Brown sugar.
  • Throw in one or two capsules of Vit. E and some lemon zest if you desire, and stir to combine.
  • The ratio can be 1:1 or 2 parts sugar and 1 part coconut oil. Totally depends upon the way you like.
  • Store in an airtight jar and just give it a stir before using it.

NOTE:

  • This can be used two to three times a week as a face, body, lip scrub, basically anywhere you like except the delicate areas of your body. If you want more information, you can read all about exfoliation here.
  • The shelf life of this scrub is surprisingly long. It can last for weeks. We have added Vit. E which acts as a preservative but still keep an eye on it, since any moisture trapped can lead to mold formation depending upon the temperature of place you live in.
  • Make small batches for a week.

I hope this helps. Do let me know your suggestions and any queries related to this in the comment section below and If you liked the post then, Please Subscribe and share.
