Hello Guys!!
This Diwali dress up your home with these beautiful string ball lights. The season of festivals has already begun. It is everyone’s favorite time of the year and why wouldn’t it be; Lights, sweets, lots of shopping, decorations, gatherings and lots and lots of happy vibes. Keeping that in mind I am here to share an easy DIY that you can do at home. Also, check out the Morrocon lamps you can make at home.
To make these cute string balls all you need is
- Cotton Thread/ Yarn
- Balloons
- Fevicol
- Water
- Bowl
- String Lights
Here’s the tutorial of the string ball lights:
Let’s Start
- Blow all the balloons and tie a secure knot and make the Fevicol solution.
- To make the Fevicol solution, mix one part water in one part Fevicol, the ratio is 1:1.
- Now there are two ways to go about this. Either drench the cotton thread in the solution and start wrapping it around the balloon; the messy way.
- Another way is to wrap the cotton thread around the balloon and then drench it in the solution; The neat way. Suit yourself. 😉
- Let them dry completely, you can either use a blow dryer if you are impatient like me. 😉
- After they have dried, push them very lightly with the backside of a toothpick, to keep the ball in shape.
- Pop the balloon and pull it out of the ball.
- Finish off by adding string lights to them, put the bulb inside where the thread is closer or glue it in the ball.
Tada!! The string ball lights are ready and your home; Festive ready!! Do give it a try and let me know in the comment section below if you have any queries or suggestions.
Thanks for reading!! Have a wonderful day!!
XOXO

Hi i have tried this before but my yarn balls are not stiff .i have used fevicol only .what can i do for that ?pls help..thank you..

Hii Dear, M glad you asked.
First of all, you have to mix water and fevicol in equal proportions. if you have already done and still not getting the shape, then you can add fabric stiffener to the solution.
Then You have to let them dry completely. Leave them for two days, but never dry them in sunlight.
Plus yarn balls are always a little soft, so don’t blame yourself. Use the cotton thread instead, I have used the embroidery thread here.
and always apply vaseline to the balloon before you start wrapping the thread around it. This way the balloon will not stick to the thread and it will be easier to pull the balloon out later, without damaging the shape of the ball.
I Hope this helps.
Thanks and stay tuned 🙂
