To make this Rope Basket planter all you need is;

  • Cotton Rope/ Jute
  • Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Yarn
  • Canister/Plastic Bottle

Here’s a timelapse of the video …

So, Let’s get started…

The Rope Basket…

You can use a plastic bottle, I have used a canister. Start by rolling one end of the rope into a coil. Secure the edges with the help of a glue gun. Make the base according to the size of the bottle/canister. When the base is complete, start sticking the glue on top of the rope to increase the height of the rope. Keep rolling until you reach the desired height. Cut off the extra rope, secure the end properly and your Rope Basket is ready.

For the POM POMs

Take a string of the glue, insert it through the fork and keep hold at this string. we will use this to tie a knot later. Start wrapping the yarn around the fork making a couple of rotations. Now take the string of Yarn from before and tie a  very tight knot. Then cut all the loops and spread out the yarn. slightly chop the bigger ends to make it more round. Stick the pom poms to your Rope Basket and it’s ready.

Also, Don’t miss out the Macrame Beer Bottle Planter. I am sure you will it.
