The Coal Miner's Daughter died peacefully in sleep on Tuesday morning at her Tennessee home. She was 90 years old.

In her 60 year Long carreer in country music,."You Ain't Woman Enough," "Don't Come Home A- Drinkin'," "One's on the way"  "Fist City," and "Coal Miner's Daughter." were among her greatest Hits.

Born in 1932 Butcher Holler to Ted Webb and Clara Marie, Lynn was the second of eight children of the Webbs. Her Sisters are also professional Country Singers

Married to Moonshine Runner Oliver Vanetta "Doolittle" Lynn in 1948 when she was mere 15 year old. By the time she turned 20, she was already a mother of 4.

 Lynn became the Country Music Association's first female entertainer of the year in 1972 and in 2003, she was honoured by President George H.W. Bush who called her "a national treasure.

One would mostly find Loretta Lynn in bedazzled Peagent dresses during her performances. It was Patsy Cline, Lynn's Mentor who inspired her to start wearing long gowns.

She recieved the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013, awarded by president Barak Obama acknowledging her legacy of "courageously breaking barriers in an industry long dominated by men."

Loretta Lynn once said  “You've got to continue to grow, or you're just like last night's corn bread-stale and dry.”

Loretta revolutionised the male dominated country music industry. Her songs were Insightful. A place where one could speak their Mind.
