Alopecia areata occurs when the body’s immune system attacks hair follicles and causes hair to fall out. Androgenetic alopecia, on the other hand, is an inherited form of hair loss. Onion (Allium cepa) recognised with healing qualities include their antibacterial, cleansing, stimulating, and nourishing powers. Onions contain a number of important minerals and vitamins, such as vitamins C and B6, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and germanium. Onion also has high sulphur content. A rare form of Alopecia is “Alopecia Universalis”. I the immune system mistakes hair follicles as invaders and attacks them so yall hair on the body falls out. My brother developed it when he was 15. Like most autoimmune diseases, he developed it after an infection. It was a slow process but he finally just shaved his head. He went to an immunologist every 6 weeks to get steroid injections into his eyebrows to prevent them from falling out. This involved 4 shots per eyebrow, and he eventually gave it up. He has no eyelashes, eyebrows, nose hair, ear hair, and he will occasionally grow a tiny patch of hair in some random spot that falls out. He wore a ball cap and long sleeve and pants, in high school but sometimes people would notice and ask if he had cancer or was he a skinhead. But at the time, the singer for TOOL and the smashing pumpkins had shaved their heads m so his friends thought he was just really hardcore. Then he graduated and we moved to Austin Texas. You can’t go around wearing long sleeves and pants and hats here. One night he went out with my husband and I to a bar with pub games and a woman there started flirting with him, (he was completely unaware of how many women had been checking him out for years before that) But the woman at the bar—they eventually moved in together and they showed up to my baby shower- him wearing a short sleeve shirt and cargo shorts, no hat, and sandals. It’s very hard to lose chunks of hair; but losing every single hair at 15 is harder.
